Regarding visiting temples, it is the least expensive (free) outing.:)

I like sports, watching & playing.

Do read the odd book. I like fiction & books written by successful people.

Canadian Desi for a hobby, anyone?;)

Rgds.

This is probably a silly question but: why cant you have bubble baths in India? They have tubs..you can take bubble bath with you..:) Im sure that its also available there.

I am trying to get our desi group of 5 - 6 familes to go out for bowling, skating, swimming and other exibitions and shows . But all they want to do is get together and do puja and potluck dinner.

You are so darn true about this pooja thing. When my parents visited me a few years ago and we had an opportunity to visit someone, that someone's version of showing us around their town was to take us all to about 5 or 6 temples in one day. Couldn't believe that place had that many temples.

But, I was totally bored and found the trip a total waste of our time.

I know. That's what I said. Although, they got to see multi-lingual priests that I am not sure temples in India have :)

Morning rain,

problem is I have don't have a big bath tub in my house in India so that I can enjoy a bubble bath. Maybe if I can earn good money out there, I can get one fitted. The bathroom as such is big enough to add on a bath-tub & get enough water as well.

Till then, I'll make do with a smaller bath-tub (the aluminium or plastic ones.).;) :)

Rgds.

The priests on the banks of Ganga in Banaras have learnt all the 25 languages of India's Provinces . This is good for their business as devotees from all over India come their to "wash their sins away " :D .

I like playing with computers specially the Apple Macs..encoding old anolouge video to digital, then creating mini movies with home movies by editing them..

The Mac is an amazing computer and if your into multimedia its the the best thing out there...

Any one else here into MACs?

No Mac. But this reminds me of Microsoft's $100 laptop plan (they call something like: laptop for each child in developing countries)
Yea, that laptop (a 7 inch screen) won't have hard drive and no applications, no network connectivities, etc ;)
Bill says that's where the major cost goes!
