Ji,
Without a good satisfying job and appropriate salary how can one enjoy life in Canada?
Yes , some prefer high salary with a less satisfying job and lower salary with a very satisfying job.
Tell me one desi in Canada who do no agree to this.
With out salary, how will you enjoy life anywhere in the world? Does any country offer facilities free? And how can you get money without a good job or a good business ownership.
The catogory who neither see job or salary can be refugee's. For them escaping civil war/ political dissidence is no. 1 priority. Not for immigrants.
Why did you migrate? To enjoy the supposedly free health care, shelter, welfare, free soup kitchen, food bank of Canada and loiter in the streets seeing sky scrapers/ snow?

Agree with Desi Tiger.
When you have a family to run, definitely the financial part comes first.
To enjoy life, you have to be full, if there are no worries then you can look around & enjoy the beauty & go bicycling, treking or cherry picking. If you are worried you hardly see these things.
Once you get out 'worry' cycle, really life is so beautiful here.
But this is true that good job = happy immigrant.
