India to Alaska to Canada to India to Canada By: ftbps Dear Canadian Friends, article.php?id=75 |
I needed some help in Resume making. Is it true that different countries have different formats of resumes?
What is the format of resumes in Canada can anyone please give info about it?
I gave my resume to an organization in Canada for examination and they stated that their is no need to mention "objectives" and "personal information" in resumes especially nationality and date of birth . They further said that the address of a candidate should be mentioned on the top right side of the resume above contact number and the name of the candidate should be mentioned on the left top side of the resume. How far is this true?
If I apply as an International Candidate for a Job in Canada ,then don't you
think I have to mention my nationality ,date of birth and religion, will not the employer or manager would be interested to know all this as he hasnt seen me since I live outside Canada?
I think people applying for employment visa mention their nationality, date of birth and religion in their resumes?

Another prospective mentee
These are some of the things we plan to address through the Mentor group. A lot of people are unaware of not just the norms, but the reasoning behind them - something that prevents them from recognizing their full potential in Canada.
