Oakville office worker June Mills was curious, but not afraid, when she heard the sound of what turned out to be a minor earthquake today.
“It went on for three or four seconds.”
John Bellini, a geo-physicist at the U.S. National Earthquake Information Center in Denver, Colo., said the tremor at 10.40 a.m. measured 2.7 on the Richter scale.

HI all..
I work in oakville on the north service road.. and today morning when this jolt took place, frankly speaking the people on the ground floor didnot even feel anything.. and so did I.. I didnot feel anything.. but the building did shake a little bit.. all the people who were working on the 1st floor came running down..and many said that they heard a loud bang
but no damage was recorded..so was good that way..
