Hi

I came to Canada on 16th of October 2004..

after coming here i applied for refugee status and luckily or unluckily my case has been accepted on 19th of april 2005. after that i applied for PR status on may5, 2005. and still havent received anything from immigration office except firts stage of approval they are keep telling me since last 7-8month sthat we are checking your backgrounds nad once it's done they will send me a letter?

anyone have anyknowledge ho wlong these kind of cases take???

I am from Pakistan single 25yrs old and its my first visit to any Country. and i am woundering what kind of background they are checking which i staking so long as i want to sponsor my family and because of teh delay i am getting frustated day by day..

so please help me anyone with any information.. i will be really thankful to you.
