Hello
I am planning to apply for my citizenship next month and then take up a job in US or INDIA. I am wondering whether I have to be here physically untill all the process is done or I can come back whenever process is done to take my citizenship. Also, Do I have to let CIC know about moving and will there be any problem?
Can anybody help me please

SS,
though what you say is true, i would like to share with you an incident which had impacted me deeply about the effectiveness of laws in this country.
A friend of mine got the citizenship for his two children (11 and 13) while they were outside Canada (children arrived in Canada in May 2003 and left in Feb/Mar 2006). He then went to his family doctor and got signed the Passport application form and has submitted it. He will receive the passport for them soon. He is then going to send the passports to his native country to his children.
How could a country's laws be as naive as this (Canada being a developed country )?
(OTOH, i suspect that there will be some complications for their children to enter the country. but as usual, there will be some loophole to stay clear of this too).

Sidenote : Just a true incident that i am quoting.
