Hi everyone

I couldnt help noticing that for the past couple of months the no of negative posts have reduced considerably. Thats really gr8..not that i am complaining . Is it because of the booming canadian economy, increased no of new jobs, rising CAD $$, beautiful summer weather or mayb the world cup people seem to be more happy and cheerful now.

When I came to canada last yr and also before that, almost every other post on CanadianDesi was negative or sort of India vs Canada post or some sort of bashing on Canada. Now its much better....good goin fellow members. Hope this continues............

There is a Tamil folk saying, which the famous Tamil lyricist Kannadasan put to good use in one of his lyrics. The song goes like this "Hanging from the neck of Lord Shiva, the snake asked Garuda 'How do you do?'. 'Whoever it is, if they happen to be in their respective places, everyone will be fine', the Garuda replied. Now comes the last line of the lyricist which carries the punch "Adhil Artham Ulladhu" (There is meaning in it).
Hope our TKji will instantly recollect the song.

If I remember correctly, Kannadasan appeared in the Song but forgot the movie..

BTW, Kannadasan and Anbil Dharmalingam were our family friends (My Thatha's)..

I have seen the song too sung by Kannadasan (on screen). The male artist to whom the song was centered on was Muthuraman (Father of Actor Karthick) and a lady who played his wife in the song.
And TK instantly recollected the song.
When i was in Trichy, Anbil Dharmalingam was the MLA or the MP for DMK. He died and his post was given to Anbil Poiyamozhi. Poiyamozhi even came to my house seeking for votes in the then upcoming election.

Booming economy my foot. High Wages? What a load of crap. I thought we were smart enough not to fall for the BS dished out by the North American media. If i had to sum up Canada in a few words it would be:

Canada: All Show no substance.

The movie is "Sooryakanthi", with Muthuraman and Jayalalitha playing the lead pair.
