Just because the above is so, doesnt make it easy. Its also true that MIL's who are or have been DILs need to remember what it was like for them and not to treat them with unfair expectations.

MIL is hated lot by DIL and when DIL's mother marries her son and then she become MIL and troubles her DIL. Then why her daughter who her self illtreats and disrepect her MIL preach to her babhi. What a dauble standard. What is spencial in a girls mother which is not present in a boys mother.
In India property share is given by boys mother and not by girls mother. In hard times guys parents take care, girls parents do little/ nothing. 99 % of Indian women will never learn this. Thank God my wife is not like -----. She respects my father like anything. morning can i have a chat with ur husband to know about so called " bad situation " or u would like to eloborate here. What you have done for your MIL will be nothing as compared to what she would have done for you. Even when you can say so much bad about her here i can well understand how much you would be saying to her.
Mother in law coming to meet her son to Canada should be a pleasure rather can a so called curse. I pity on -----.

Friend I'm proud and feel good reading this but I wish all real life MIL-DIL's were like what you quote above. I don't say its not true but it does not apply to every home...not all DIL and MIL are same. I'm very blessed by a good MIL who is been living with me for the past 8 yrs (out of 10 of our marriage). She doesn't even want to return to India (she travels a lot with us and is enjoying her life with us...grandkids and the freedom NA offers).
On the other hand I can give you 200 examples of the people I know in my life....who had bad experiences with their in laws. So all homes are not same. I've seen homes where inlaws have left kids and the girls parents have done everything for their daughter and son in law.......so let's not be critical.

Can anyone give information about any groups/clubs/regular activites taking place for elderly parents in Mississauga? [That can keep MILs busy and help them make friends among similar age people.]
