Hi Gunarp,
Toronto is full of picnic places. Depends how far u want to go.
With in Toronto, u can go Center Island, Ontario places, CNE (these days), Toronto zoo, Ontario science center.
For near by places, u can always go Niagara falls, marine land, Hamilton falls, royal botanical garden near Hamilton and Burlington, up north lake Simcoe, African lion safari, Peterborough lift lock and reptile museum, there is one cat world in between Pickering and Peterborough, 1000 island crews, and the list goes on…

hello!
If you are looking for places within Toronto, there is High park, Humber river park. Hiogh park may have some barbeque pits. I ma not sure about Humber river. There are few parks along humber river, one at Dundas & east of Royal York that is also closer to Old Mill subway. There are few other parks on humber river one at Jane & north of St. Clair but I have not visited this one.
If you are looking outside GTA but within a driving distance of few hours, there is Niagara, Niagara on the lake, Spencer Gorge in Hamilton.
There may be many more but these are the ones I know. Other CD memebers can share the ones they know.
