dear all,
i need a safe and decent hotel near don mills/sheppard for abt 5 days in early nov, preferably near some place i can find veggie food.
looking for suggestions from CD members.

Can't really recommend any hotel in this area... they are either pricey or far from veg. eateries.

The closest one would be : Ramada Hotel Conference Center on Yorkland Blvd.
they do have Complimentary Continental Breakfast so atleast you don't start the morning with an empty stomach!!
The most convenient would be the Westin Prince on York Mills.. Rooms are @ 125 but they have a lot of restaurants around them.

Why donot you look at CD classifieds and look for some guesthouse near that area. It will work out much cheaper (around $30-$35 a night) and is being run by Hindu Desi's who also provide veg. foods at a very reasonable rate. They can also pick you up from the airport in a van for a nominal charge.

Sidenote : Please donot stay at Pritham Uncle's place. One poster said that he provided only bunk beds and 12 people share just 1 wash room. Look for good riviews.

I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
Check out barryguesthouse.com. They have an excellent guest house sans food at Don Mills and Finch .Charges $25/- day .I stayed there for 10 days and recommend it highly.Private room (for family as well ) and the place is neat , clean , well connected and good surroundings.An Indian store nearby whch stores regular Indian grocery.
