Work Setting: You will be working with the IT division of a local publishing company that has been in business for more than 100 years.

Location: In a small town 5 hours east of Winnipeg in Ontario

Job Description:
The successful applicant will be able to use a variety of technologies and skills to design, develop, maintain and enhance customer web sites. This includes creating graphics, content and sites for customers, including development of navigation schemes and effective interface design, as well as writing and adapting scripts and coding to meet customer needs. Outstanding customer service skills are a must.



The following qualifications are required for the position:

- Excellent knowledge of HTML and CSS a prerequisite

- A high degree of comfort with basic internet technologies like FTP, Telnet, browser compatibility and internet standards

- Experience developing with MySQL and PHP an asset

- Familiarity with Drupal, phpBB and other CMSs a big plus

- Demonstrated experience in managing customer relationships and expectations

- Adept in the use of creative software applications including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and GoLive, as well as Macromedia Fireworks, Dreamweaver and Freehand

- A strong grasp of form & function with design, illustration and typography

- Exceptional customer service skills, including verbal and written abilities

- Familiarity with the Macintosh OS environment is an asset

- Web animation and Macromedia Flash development experience an asset

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Strong organizational and prioritization skills

- Ability to positively contribute to a team-oriented environment
