I had posted this query earlier in my thread "Which city/province has best job prospects?", but it seems it did not get noticed. I am therefore starting another charcha, regarding the role HRDC can play for getting a suitable job. So far I have very little idea about how HRDC can help fresh immigrants in getting a job.
I have the following queries:
1. What is the eligibility to get enrolled with HRDC for job search?
2. How exactly does HRDC respond? Do they act simply like placement agencies or do they offer something more than that?
3. Does HRDC help in getting jobs related only to your field of expertise and experience or other jobs as well?
4. What is the time frame by which one can expect HRDC help you get a job?
5. How much should one rely on HRDC?
Seniors, kindly enlighten,
Thanks and best regards

\"Which city/province has best job prospects?\"
---------
Depend on your background, experience, qualification and where you gained all this!
\"the role HRDC can play for getting a suitable job\"
--------
None other than providing job search facilities - listings, redirecting to resume clinics, govt. supported organizations for new immigrants. HRDC is government agenecy similar to employment and labor related ministries in other countries. Don't rely on HRDC to find you a job. Finding job is your responsibility.
\"fresh immigrants\"
--------
Search for \"Internationally Educated Professionals (IEP)\" on the web, you may land up some resources.
I know finding the job is my responsibility, but perhaps I could not convey what I wanted to!
But Anil, thanks, you have answered a large part of my question.
