You know what it is that you are studying. You know your shortcomings. Get through the exam and studies. That will give you a standing in your application for your PR. You also need to see the guidance councilor at your study place.

Now for not being able to get the Canadian Immigration, have you got the qualifying marks or PASS Marks in the assessment? If not you know what your chances are in getting your PR.

As for your WORK PERMIT, if the job that you are seeking is NOT a NOC classified job, then the chances of your getting an approval of your work permit are remote and negligible, unless you have other certification that you did not mention here. I do not want to discourage you. Since you have not given any details of the studies nor the job, I cannot give you a definite answer. If you get it then it is your good luck.

With the vague details that you are providing, now, you have only one choice, which is STUDY and get through and then ask for a work permit.

In any case, if you want stay here either for your studies or for visit, then extend your VISA.
