canadian pension after retirement

If a canadian citizen of Indian origian goes to India after retirement. Can he get canadian pension there in India? What is the law? Thank you.

The answer is yes. One can get pension from canada while staying in India. But one need to file for taxes also. I knew two of the families who worked in Canada but live in India now collecting Canadian pension and social ins. And are leading a very good life far better than the retirees here.

Yes, one can receive Old Age security Pension subject to follwing conditions (The current law).
1. He /she must be over 65 years
2. Must be a Canadian Citizen at the time of departure from Canada
3. Person must have lived in Canada at least 20 yrs as an adult before he/she left Canada
4. The person must file income tax return in Canada

Mind that one has to apply to receive this pension.
