Hello,

I recently moved to Toronto, and wil be filing my first tax return for 2006. I was sef-employed for 3 months, and now working as permanent employee.

Can I claim Moving expenses (Cargo related) and Medical Insurance as deductibles.

Regards

from where? Are you closer to your work place by more than 40kms than you were before you moved to the new place?

MOST people file only one tax return for each year - they do not file first and second and so forth!

How do you relate medical insurance expenses to moving expenses????

Hi,

What appears to me from your question is that you moved to Toronto on immigaration in this year. If this is the case, sorry, no moving exp deduction. But, you can claim medical insurance premium subject to other conditions.
