Hi All,

My cousin is arriving from India on Air Canada flight on 2nd Feb. Was just wondering what would be the weight limit of the check-in baggage for him, he being a new immigrant landing for the first time? Is it just two bags 23 kg each just like normal passenger or can he have as much check-in baggage as he wants?

Please share your experiences.

Thanks in advance

When it comes to baggage the airlines treats one and all the same. New immigrants have the same baggage allowance as tourist or citizens.

I believe Air India still allows 32kg/pc compared to most carriers having switched to 23kg/pc. I checked their website and found this answer:

Thanks to all of you for your replies.

I guess cargo is the only option left then.
