Thats precisely what is surprising. Irrespective of how the teams perform, they will still be ranked the same...doesnt make sense..
Also as the official organiser ICC should not be giving out its assumptions on its official website...and if they do, why dont they give out thier assumptions for the winner as well?...
ICC subsequently removed that page and replaced one with TBC instead of team names...

They had been put into the schedule as per their ranking. That is why South Africa was A1 and Australia was A2. Also they mentioned that in case Scotland where to qualify at the top of the they would be A1. Simple..... I know it was stupid for them to put it in the offical website ..... but then this was based on the ranking ..... good they have removed it from the website.
This was known Fact - its just that somebody published it.
I dont see a problem in it. Its just Indicative. They could have termed B139 instead of B2 for India. Whats the problem with that. Being Termed B2 will not be disadvantage in anyway ... Team (India) will carry forward points which they earned against other Super 8 Team (Sri Lanka). So even though Sri Lanka Termed B1 - does not make difference to Points Table for India.
I think its a good idea if you are following one team - then FANs dont have to wait till the end of group stage to reserve tickets & beds.
And with this schedule I know, what all days I am working from Home.
