My parents (age 66 and 67) visited from India. They took insurence from TATA-AIG. Max term TATA-AIG allow is only 180, but it can be extended to another period (1 week to 180 days; if you have not made a claim) by asking them over email. We had also enquired with Ontario Blue cross and they offered insurence at about C$ 10/- a day per person. My parents have previously travelled on Oriental Insurence from India and unfortunatley needed to make a hospital-surgery claim following an accident. The claim condition stated was that we had to pay here (close to $10K) and submit the claim in India - we received most of the claim amount in INR within 4-5 months after a few rounds of correspondence. TATA-AIG provides a "company-pays-to-hospital" card so we chose that this time and fortunately we did not need to use it!! Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply, can u plz tell me whether they do cover pre existing conditions?
Do they really have those " Company pays to hospital" cards so you in effect do not pay upfront here to the hospitals in the event of a claim,
