I feel it is too late to decide something for this long weekend. However we could decide on meeting sometime next weekend. I feel downtown would be a better option than mississuaga as it is more of a central location. Come on gang lets decide on something.

How 'bout meeting at the RBC desifest on Sat May 26 at Yonge Dundas Square right next to Hard Rock Cafe, ifo Sears and with Aishwarya looking down on us from the L'Oreal billboards ?We can meet up, mill around and groove on the vibes there. Some activity to indulge in while we chatter.I am told there will be stands offering both veg and non-veg culinary delights as well. Chai stands as well. Also Josh and Bilz(who sing 2 step bhangra- very popular on the Canadian airwaves) and maybe Deesha (2007 nominee for Juno awards) might be there to give us some good fusion music.Shiamak Davar also might give us some action and maybe plenty of other dance institutions.

Only thing is how will we recognize each other there in the crowd? We could wear CD name tags like in a convention and as soon as we spot each other, we can sort of group up. Or altenatively, for those who confirm we can send each other a short description of each other and a distinguishing object we will sport on us, like a Tshirt or a cap, or which color turban, or perhaps a double bull shirt or kolhapuri chappals- whatever..

We are 5-6 families who got together thru the Canadian Desi network and now are the best of friends, meeting every week. Needless to say, we are having a blast! Few of us are from Mumbai and the rest are from various parts of Gujarat. Mostly living in Mississauga/Brampton. If you are interested in making friends, do email me your contacts at We can touch base. Look forward to hearing from you.
