Did you enjoy the DHOL? They were cool too.
Belly dancing -isn't that universal- stirring libidinal juices?
Actually at the Carassauga event in the Egypt pavillion, there was belly dancing and scores of Desis were there taking it all in. There was also a Desi lady at a 'Henna' kiosk in the Egypt pavillion. Also one at the Canada pavilion. There was Yoga at the Canada pavilion. The chair of the Canada pavilion was Desi and the lady greeting the visitors at the Canada pavilion was Miss GTA 2007 who is of Desi/Italian heritage.
Also at the India pavilion there was a Japanese Canadian doing his thing with his 'diablo'.
I guess it's all part of getting all the cultures together- fusion and the like.
