Hello bhopalite,
Not to discourage you but cic has stopped accepting excuses for not writing IELTS.I have come across people who have been studying and living in the states for many years, working as TA in universities had to write the IELTS.If IELTS score adds up to your application(to reach 67) i suggest you to take the earliest date and appear for the test which is a CAKE WALK for indians....believe me!
cheers

Yes Panna. Your message is kind of discouraging for me. If cic has stopped accepting excuses for not writing IELTS then why they had this option (as I mentioned in 1st post) about 'written submission'?

Hello bopalite,
I beg your pardon if i have sounded discouraging. But i tried to be honest in my statement.I have seen may be 5% of people getting away without any IELTS request and 95% were asked to take the exam.I some how feel that IELTS(org) has made a contract with cic that all applicants should be requested to write IELTS so that they make money .I find is quite rediculous when they req IELTS for people living and working in an english speaking country .
Finally i didn't wanted my fellow Indian to be in trouble hence i gave you my suggestion.Try out your luck with a nice explaning letter.Hopefully it works out.All the best
cheers

Panna,
To me its all about honesty. I admire it.
I am trying to write a nice explaning letter but I don't know:
. how many pages should I write?
. how should I categorize it?
So if you or anybody knows about it, then do tell me.
Puttoo,
I've read all, but I am going for 'written submission'. So your help is also appreciated.
Heaven,
I do not have degree in English Literature. But all my education + work exp. in English.
