Hi. My name is Hemendra Gusain. i came to Calgary in mid of July 07, on a work permit.
Can i apply for immigration and how long this whole process of immigration will take ?
What is the role of consultant or law firms in this process ??
Hello hemendra
welcome! You can apply for canadian immigration from buffalo if you have been legally admitted for 1 year in canada(i.e if you have a visa until aug 2008 you are eligible to apply) The current processing times are a bit frustrating 24 months from boffalo(from what i have seen). You do not need any lawyer or consultant to apply. You get every peice of info from
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp
cheers

There is no pleasure in having nothing to do; The fun is in having lots to do and not doing it.
Hello ,
I have applied for Immigration from Calgary but i was on Visit Visa then , for you its gonna be much easier as i gues u need 24 months full time work in Calgary to apply for PR .
If you need to consult to an immigration consultant , feel free , and i think she does not charge first visits as well .
She is a very pleasant person her name is Ann Wilson , she has been an ex citizenship judge for 6 yrs as well . her office in on Maclead Trail in Downtown , rocky mountain building if not mistaken . U can check her website as well http://www.wilsonimmigration.com" rel="nofollow">LINK
Thanks
