I feel that i fit into the catagory and i feel that $790 in just 3 days is just a steal.
Has any CD ungone any sort of particiaption in clinical trials. Are participants insured in any way , in case the medication given gives of any sort of fatal side effects (can it happen, anyways?).
I look forward to the answers of RajCanada and Pratickm whom i feel have vast knowledge in this line.

Every drug approved by the FDA will have undergone "Clinical Trials" which is mandatory. All these trials have various phases/stages.

They are all not going to greet you in with a $1000 cheque. You may not even be eligible to be a trial participant. They have stipulations and criteria. There's absolutely no harm in finding out what is the trial participant profile they are looking for to begin with. Find out if you qualify. Ask your family physician about your participation. I am sure he won't sign-off on this but may have some valuable advice.

These are heavily supervised trials. After all, their goal is to provide it to the public eventually. And their intent is not to do so by piling a mountain of dead bodies or permanently debilitated human beings.

You can educate yourself with more information here:

Good luck...
