Winter vacation - what precautions to take

Hi All,
We are going to india for 3 weeks in end of november. Could anyone please suggest what precautions to take for the house while we are away? Is it a good idea to turn off the water supply at the meter? Should we keep the gas on? etc etc. Would be grateful if someone can share their experience and give suggestions. Thanks.
