Dear all,
I had landed in Toronto in Oct with my family. While my family's PR cards were received around Nov, there was no mail concerning me. In Jan I have received a letter on red paper informing me that my photo (sent before visa stamping) does not meet specifications. I have been asked to appear in person with new photos.
The problem is, I returned home a few days after landing and now cannot return without the PR card. Can you please advise what to do? Has this happened to anyone of you?

Same thing happened to a friend. She came back on a visit visa and got her pics redone.

How can a PR get a "visit" visa?
You will have to get a re-entry permit and then come to Canada to fix the situation.
To the OP - if you always intended to return back to home country, you should have told the officer at the POE and they would not have applied for your PR card.
When you would have moved permanently, then you would have applied for PR card.

pratickm is right. You will need "Temporary travel document" to return to Canada. Apply for it at the Delhi visa office when you wish to return to Canada.
Hi, it happened with us too. Me and my husband got the PR cards but our kids could not get it saying the same reasons the pictures are not correct. We also traveled back to home and are not in Canada. Like us you'll also need a "Travel document" this is a kind of Visa for PR holders who don't have PR cards to enter the country. They are not tough to get and if I remember correctly the fee is $50 (you can check it on CIC site though). Please apply for it at the nearest Canadian consulate near your home.
