hi,

below is the situation.
My mom would like to visit me, she has taken medical appointment on 18th Feb.
Her TB treatment is going on since last 4-5 months, its almost cured but a small lump is there on her neck and its prominent red. while doing medicals it can be found but will be difficult to identify that as TB, because Blood, urine and X'ray's are clear.

We are thinking that we will declare this to the doctor and show him/her the treatment letter etc.

But worried about the rejections at medical.

What should we do? can we go ahead and let the doctors know about it OR we should not tell about this ?

If anyone has faced this situation pls guide.

Thanks for your advises.

Hi Shalini, hope ur mum good health, well i do adviced you not to tell the doctor anything, just wait and see the result - I do know one of my friend his wife had cancer back home but they did not tell the doctor and it was not detected - she got the visas and now she has better care in Canada. Best luck for ur mum.

Your mom is coming on a visitor visa...so why did they ask for a medical. I am asking this because my mom just visited me for 6 months and she did not have to go through any medical examination.
Do they randomly ask people to undergo medical exam if so then let her take up the medical and leave it on the doc to check what is required and answer only if asked about that red lump.
All the best. Wish you 'Ma ke haath ka khana ' soon.

My Dad got the visitor visa without medicals - he was 69 when he applied.

They request medicals only for multiple entry visa of 3-5 yrs duration. Sometimes, they may randomly request medicals even for single entry visa application.

Shalini26, did your Mom get a request for medicals or you just assuming you will be going for medicals?

Rgds,
Hiren
