Dear FH, thanks for your time and must say you are doing a great job by helping others selflessly. As I told you that I have to appear in G road test now and I do need some classess. During my initial landing I met an instructor, fairly popular one in Mississauga who wanted CAD 600 as a package deal including classes and test on a remote area where failure chances are considered very less. I understood what he is upto and politely refused him. Point is that when we as new immigrant land there, unfortunately most of the instructors usually desis are not so good to deal with. I will appreciate if you could guide me to the correct driving school / instructor in mIssisauga so that I have no fears of being swindled while dealing with him.
What you said about TK is true, he seems blunt in his views and I like such guys.

Dear Gurram, thanks, I am clear now.

Hasni:
The Desi driver was not out to cheat you but to teach you properly.
Toronto and surrounding areas have very great chance of failures as traffic is too much and the examiners take you through traffic. Besides in summer, you have a 3 months or more waiting line in urban areas of Toronto.
However, there is luck for you. You can give your test anywhere in ontario. So popula centres are Orangeville (30 kms), Guelph (80 kms), Kitchener (100 kms), Linday (200 kms?), St Catherines (100 kms) away. You need to pay extra for Gas and the instructors time.
I failed 2 times in Toronto and passed the 3 rd. time in Kitchener. Overall I spent $ 1000 in 2003. So take your first test in Lindsay or Kitchener and pass.

Peace by Murali

Driving is an ART. And who the hell are we fooling, when your own life is at stake while you are driving? I am not looking just for an I.D.Card. If you master it, then, there is no one who is going to question your ability. The tests are only a means by which you are able to justify your skills. But the confidence that you have, will carry you a long way in life.

THAT OUNCE OF COURAGE AND THE STRONG SENSE OF CONFIDENCE is what I want you all to have, gain and express in every thing you do in your day to day life and in your daily walk of life, which will ensure you a great success here in Canada.

So, prepare yourself well, and be thorough in your preparation and in execution and display your abilities and skills and excel in life. Keep your concentration in the fore front and the skills you acquire at your finger tips and carry on smartly. That is a show of confidence.!

All said and done, here is a list of phone numbers and the costs. I don't know what all is included. I don't want to publish any names here. Also, you ask for references and see if s/he will provide you with names and phone numbers. If they are that good, you could also leave yours too as a reference.

416 276 8013 5L + T = 219/ 10L +T =369
647 926 9166 10L + T = Special?
647 618 6975 No details If they don't give details, then watch out!
905 848 3000 10L + T = 260 Regular School.
There are many more. Always include your spouse. This is CANADA.

FH.

Dear FH, thanks for the nice words, will call and check. Hope you will allow us to benefit from your valuable guidance in future as well.

@Dear TK, that's real info indeed, which one of these two centres is on the way to Niagra falls while going from Mississauga. I forgot the name but that instructor had told me that he would take me to that center, might be he was talking about one of these two that you have mentioned !
