I am self employed and filling online residence calculator to show my international business travels for citizenship application.

Could someone tell me that under column 'reason' should I just write 'for business'
or give a detailed description such as 'travelled to explore JV opportunities' .

Does writing a detailed description gives any advantage

No it does not. You can just put business. You can explain if they ask you on the day of the test.
