I was wondering if anyone on this forum has some good experience with Lawn care service providers. Its my first time and was thinking of getting the job done from some professional people. If anyone has done this in the past and have a good experience, please send me the information.

Anyone who owns a Home or a Town house, (Freehold) generally looks after the same all by themselves or with the help of another good friend, in case you need an additional hand. Otherwise, they take pride in its possession and carry out the required maintenance all by themselves. That is the norm, for the common man. Those who are professionals and well off, white collared workers, hire some one to do their dirty jobs.

If you are the one who cuts the lawn, then it will be appropriate that you fertilize also. Start generally with the middle of April with a very good shot of the high priced lawn builder one. Scotts is the name. Then do a second spreading of the same in the middle of May. Do not miss these two. Because the rains look after the watering and it grows like wild weeds. Your lawn looks rich and thick and it provides a good start. Then between June, July August and September you skip a month in between if you want to. That way you can save on water also. Some summers are hot and dry, so the skipping of a shot of these fertilizers will not hurt and it is in fact good for the lawn. Then in November, get a special fall and winter long term fertilizer which will provide it with the slow release till the next season.

Now for the costs, from the last year's prices, to take good care of 2500 sq.ft of lawn, $25 per month during the months that you use the spread. $125 for the whole season. Now you know the cost also. I patronize the Bulk suppliers. They will take the unused bags, no questions asked. Buy a very good plastic bodied spreader with adjuster. They last and last.

There are by laws in existence in certain cities. They do not permit the use of chemical fertilizers or weed killers etc. They are slowly being brought into usage all over Canada. But for the people who live in the rural areas they are exempting them currently. So take care that you do not trod on anyone's toes.

Now to answer your question, you can price any one of the fertilizing companies that do it for a living. The costs will be generally be three times the estimate I have provided. Not having used any of them, I will say the quality of their products will be certainly questionable. But I have used them on occasions, when I needed some insect killer spray. They are horribly expensive, when I see their bills.

i have service to do spring clean and fertilzer and weekly mowing and fertilizer and aerating and fall cleanup and fertilizer.
saves me hours and hours every year to spend with my family and friends instead of pushing machine around and spreading chemicals.

How much is cost per month or this is a full season contract. Can you recommend the company or individual. I am in Mississauga. Last year I spent around $1000 (everything included) and still not satisfied with service.
