Hi,
Here is what is in your Owner's Manual. (Half way down the book)
If you can see the Name Plate on the equipment, please write all of the details that you see and note down the same and contact the dealer, who supplied this to you and contact us back. He is the man who will tell you if that machine has dual voltage or you will need a step up transformer here in the North American Continent.
We can tell you the exact price on the shelf or see what the price is on e-bay or the Amazon. Alternately google and find.

See if you will find it worth while to dispose off than lug it all the way and find it is not going to work. If you can fold anything and stick it in your wallet, it is easier to carry. A big box 3ft x 3ft x 2 ft =18 cu.ft will cost you $180 bucks to get it down here. Then you will find you cannot carry it in any of the cars here. You will need a van. (Unless you discard the box at the airport/ shipping area) Save yourself the pain, going to the lengths and if it fails to work after all of the troubles, then the agony.
Freddie.
I was in the same boat, 4 years back. Just go down to any chinese store and get a CAD$ 40- 300 Watt Step down converter. Its working for me for the last 4 years. .Can't complain. The AV receiver had a 110-240 volt switch, so it was easy.
I think my friend even saw them sold in a local flea market.
All the best...
Hello all,
In mean time I had raised query on subject directly with BOSE USA also, when I could not get satisfactory response from G&M International; UAE Bose distributor. Below is the feedback I got yesterday from Bose Corporation USA , hope this will be helpful to others also who may have similar query in future.
\\\\\"If you have a 220 volt Bose(R) Acoustimass(R) 10 Series III system and are
planning to use it in Canada, we recommend you purchase a stereo-use step-up transformer rated at 500 watts continuous. Bose does not manufacture such a transformer but they are available at many specialty electronics shops. Here is a link to a retailer where one can be purchased:\\\\\"
http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?DID=7&Partnumber=120-820
\\\\\"Please be advised that this reseller is based in the United States. You may want to inquire if shipment of parts to Canada is offered. \\\\\"
Thank you Chandresh,Freddie, akmehta globalindian and ashwaniG for your time and iputs.
Smiles
