Hi,
Very often we read articles in Toronto Star, with pictures from INDIA to convey their messages, these pictures though true are often which portrays the bad, or sad or -ve side of India,
I refer to an article on old age homes -(few day ago) ,Child labour in -todays TO
I am sure there definitely shall be similar problems in China, Phillipines, Pakistan, or any developing nation for that matter.
My question is why single out pics from India in majority of such discussions?
These only strengthens and leaves -ve image of India in this part of the world.
Often I have found the authors contributing this articles are originating from this country and hence it probably becomes easier for them to make their point in the said article.
Although it may be true why don't they use pics from other countries?

Whenever you experience joy, peace, security, equanimity or purity, it is only because you are aligned with ALMIGHTY.
This is something that I have been wanting to write in this forum and also send to some Indian newspapers for almost a year now. I have noticed in last one year that Toronto Star publishes and prints negative things about India. While what they write/print is true, it potrays India as a inhuman place to live in or uneducated or something to fear about.
Normally I do not care about the social and political culture of Canada, but when I find Star articles about India in such a negative manner, I feel like putting all the bad things about Canada in Indian newspapers - if they do not accept as an article then as an advertisement.
Each country in this world would have its own demerits, but the way Star puts it for India, is really humiliating. They NEVER print good things about India - like the software experts, the fantastic new malls coming up, the story of Ambanis and plans of their new house (which I am told is now shelved), the great 20-20 Cricket they have started which is soon going to be bigger than NBA in money making and popularity and tons of other things which are much better than Canada.
I think we should join hands and plan to do something to stop Star degrading India (and consequently Indians) in this fashion. (I will not be surprised if this is all due to the frustration of losing jobs to India and Indians, including those in Canada)

Well I believe everybody who is bothered can atleast write to the author of the article and the editor of the star and may be post comments online and direct to some positive things about india
and may be even ask the author if ever he or she has travelled to india ?
I am sure they will upgrade their knowledge about india if enough people will counter thei claim []
this is the least we should do .
