Hello everyone.

I have a question. I became a permanent resident about a year and a half ago. I would like to sponsor my parents but I dont think I will qualify financially. So I am wondering if I can just sponsor one and my other parent another time. is this going to be okay?

If it is O.K.with you, it is O.K. with us.(me) . Just the same, I would like to ask you, would you separate them from each other? Don't you think it will be cruel?

Since you are an Immigrant and a resident in Canada, I would urge you to get in touch with the immigrant Help Centers that are helping people like you who are in need of proper advice and guidance and able to help you in all the ways in your sponsorship of your family.

Please contact any one of them, that is closest to you and then drop in and visit them and fill out all of the forms etc., while you are there. They will help you.

Unfortunately you cannot sponsor one parent unless they are legally separated or divorced.
