Hello every one,
After asking million persons about million different things, I landed in Pearson Airport with my faily on the 9th of July, with all the awe and exitment,, a thouthand what ifs in my mind.Flying On Alitalia, where the flight was good but the hostess were rude, we touched land at 15:30, followed the directions to the immigration, line up waiting for our turn, here we go, i said Hi, the officer said hi there,,gave him iur passports,, stamped them all and returned them to me saying welcome to canada, i said that,s it,, he said yes,, and showed me the way to the immigration officer,,,she was a 20 somethings years old nice beautiful girl,,smilling and saying welcome to canada,, asked a few questions about our names, Address in canada, bio data page on our passports, how much money do i ahve i said that much and never even asked for any proof, and that was it!
Yes, that was it, then we were directed to another person who gave us some books about canada and what to do if you need this service or what to call if you need that service,. just a bag of books.
We landed at 15:30, we were out of the Airport At 16:20,,exempt around twenty minutes changing dippars to my child and another 5 minutes me going to the washroom,,so if you do a little math you,d see that we took around 25 minutes,,,,,,,,,,,,honest to god.
NO body asked me any proof of any thing, no body asked me about the jewellery of my wife, nothing at all.
We spent the first 2 weeks wandring the place, then i started appling for jobs, and i am having 3 different interviews next week, today is the 6th of august,, and we got our PR card ysterday,,so landed on the 9th of JUly and got the PR card on the %th of August,,,is that something or what??????????????
I do consider my family and myself lucky for many things happened to us where it was not that easy for others.
Canada is a beautiful country and it has alooot to offer for those who are willing to work hard and, give their best shot and stay away from problems.
Finally i would like to thank every one in here who helped answering all my question in a professional manner, even those who thought my questions are dup ones. Special thanx to freddie for his inclusive answers.
Wish me the best with my interviews.
Enjoy Canada every one
Welcome to Canada.
All the best to you for your interviews.
Keep a positive attitude and things would work out well. Utilize this time to orient yourself, apply trough job search engines, know your neighbourhood, local grocery stores and important phone numbers for emergencies etc.
Best wishes
