I use spoon and fork most of the time, except for naan and samosa/pakora/deep fried stuff by hand. Rice and other things by spoon.

What annoys me is the sound people make after licking their fingers. They lick one by one, entire finger inside the mouth, the noise comes when they take it out. Yuck!

This thread reminds of an incident back in India .We had a relative visiting us and mom served samosas with tea. She served samosa in a plate with spoon. Now uncleji makes his first dig in the samosa with the spoon and we see the samosa flying across the table and land in our dog's bowl on the floor . We all understood that he was not comfortable using tools and we all started eating samosa wth hands so that uncle didn't feel embarrassed.
We did have a good laugh after he left!

There's something SO WRONG about eating a samosa with a spoon (of all things). Kinda like having soup with a fork. ;)

I don't get it..whats 'THE WRONG' part!! With all chutneys or chole on top of a samosa ..i would rather use spoon!

Thanks for missing the point :-).

And by the way, I put my comment as a joke, so please lighten up. Feel free to eat your samosa whatever way you like. :)

arey eating samosas with chopsticks is best!

but no jokes i have seen people eat the chicken pakoras one gets at a hakka chinese joint with chopstix.
u think there might be a possibility of an olympic game where the winner is the one who eats the highest no of samosas with chopstix in a given amount of time?
