Thanks in advance :)

Wild rice is available in Whole Foods and Superstore (in some cases).
It's expensive, but I found that it is much more filling then regular rice (white or brown).
Therefore, you will use less of it.

Anyone tried red rice? I have eaten few times, not bad at all. Digests slowly, u wont feel hungry quickly like the white rice. No need to rinse also. Use a pressure cooker and turns out just fine.

I think Keralites use lot of red rice.

I have tried red rice a few times.
It's ok but I prefer wild rice.
It's more flavourful.

I am diabetic and have tried all kinds of rice. White rice and brown rice does not have any difference in Carb count. Since brown rice has a bit of vitamin, it might be better to use. You may want to try Bulgar (available in Whole Food). You have to soak it for atleast 18 to 24 hours. Have to cook it as it is need not rinse it. It feels a bit sticky but not much of a difference in taste. Also, it is very high in fibre content. Has worked for me. Process is a pain though. Have discontinued because of that.
