120K is over the poverty line. I live on way less than 120K, a family of 4. Kids go to private school, got 2 cars, travel twice a year (although in North America), own a house over half a million worth. I did all this over time not in one day bit never in all those years made over 100K.
Sometime I had combine my business travel with pleasuer to save ion tickets etc. I think determination what is important and learning how to strech the dollar is the key. Eat healthy and that is all. Find hapiness in small things, 45K to start with is great, start a good life.
All the best and give us your opinion after you are in the situation yourself. Rmemeber, it may take you a while to find affordable places for leasure.

$120,000 PER ANNUM SALARY - I think this is the highest bracket salary seen by me here so far. It turns out to around $50 an hour. If Husband and wife work they might be able to reach this easily. But then you have to take the risk of putting your kids into daycares, nannys and expenses for the same.

95% of jobs in retail, marketing, Logisitics, Service industry, Admin, Web etc are in range of under $36000 p.a.

So you know whats reality. For many older Indo-Canadians there are no rents as they own houses
