After long time, we shopped today at India Town at scarborough. I was not careful enough to watch what the guy was punching and how many times, so when I paid the bill it was $125. And my shopping was confined to two shopping baskets + two begs of dall only.

Hurat Honani Murat!
The problem of punching in wrong (always higher) price, what you saw at display; is spreading to some reputed non-desi grocery stores as well. With my personal expirience, I can say; this happened to us (in family) 3 times in last 2-3 weeks. The complaint corrected the price at two places and the item was given free at third, as store policy.
But how many might be missing to check the details on the bill, at times when it is too long to remember and compare.

One option is to buy mostly in stores where everything is price scanned, rather than keyed in.. only very few desi stores are there like this... If one must shop at other stores, buy only few times at a time... Might have to go to the shop often, but still may be okay.. can even get good deals at times... For me, I have to take my kids to one or the other class pretty much every day and use the waiting time to do these shoppings...
