The Big Auto Industries are flourishing in Brazil and soon to be opening plant, next in Russia. Those in the Executive jobs fly back and forth to different continents and conduct personal visits to various countries. But now are standing in Ottawa and Washington with a tin cup and a hat in hand, looking for handouts. If you give them the money (Billions) as a Bridge Loan, would they be in a position to repay back or are we taxpayers going to bite the bullet?! Thats a lot of wampum.

They claim that $200 a MONTH is middle class in Brazil.
Would $10,000 a month be a decent wage for a Blue Collar worker in Canada. If so, what does it take to get a job in that plant? Mmmm... let me count the ways....
Well, let the men with the money and the purse strings decide that. I am happy to know and also see this small skit. Hope you get to enjoy it too.
Freddie.
Very interesting videos.
The "Big 3" has been destroyed by short term "vision" of the management and the corrupt UAW (and CAW). I have been to several auto plants - Ford Livonia, MI, Ford Sharonville, OH, Ford Louisville, KY, Ford Vandyke, MI, Jeep Toledo, OH and several Visteon plants. The common attribute of these UAW employees at all of these locations - ARROGANCE AND LAZINESS.
Example - Me and a team of 5 people once visited a Ford plant for a quality issue. While we worked our way through 6 pallet loads of heavy parts, the fork lift driver sat there in the same area reading books - for about 7.5 hours. he spent about 30 minutes getting us new pallets. This a***ho** earns what? $30 an hour excl benefits.
The video states two things - "the workers are young and eager to learn". Among the UAW, there is no learning, only entitlement. Another thing is there will never be an integration of suppliers within the Big 3 plants (such as what you see in Brazil Ford). UAW will make such a stink. Until UAW learns the value of a good paying job, they are on their way to extinction under the evolving conditions.
Management - that's another story. With these bozos flying corporate jets to beg for money, they have shot their credibility with the public. Nobody outside of the rust belt (MI, OH, IN, etc) give a rat's behind about the auto industry and these idiots have not helped one bit. Alan Mulaly actually said, "it's ok with me" when, at the congressional hearing, was asked about his $20 million salary !!!

Quote:Even though "they have shot their credibility with the public", if the new coalition govt. comes into power, one of the first things they will do is give big bailouts to the auto makers so that they don't have to lay off these slobbish auto workers.
