I have few questions regarding permanent resident application processing
1. We are in USA. My wife is on H1 visa as a software engineer and I am on F1 visaand I have Masters in chemistry from India and also from USA and presently pursuing my Phd in Chemistry. I have also worked as chemist in India. I would like to know who will be better candidate as principal applicant.
2. Please also help me to know whether applying by own is good option or not
3. I would like to know trustworthy consultants available for processing my permanent residency.
Thanks in advance
Vijay

Thanks a lot for the answering all my questions
I have one last question.
Is it better to apply permanent residency all by own or through a consultancy.
Is there any website where I can find step by step procedure for applying
Thanks a lot in advance
Vijay
Point # 3 in Freddie's post answers this question.
To apply yourself, go to cic.gc.ca.

the new law for immigration has made lots of changes and eassier procedures to follow. of course you can do everything on your own, but consultants know how to do it legally and professionally, else they won't exist. you can find everything on http://www.cic.gc.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK and can also do it yourself.
to me it looks like you both do not qualify under new law. still your detailed profile can only give better idea. check the website and you can do the assessment.
