I received 8th band as the overall band in IELTS exam's general training module. What are my chances of getting interview waiver.

I scored overall 7 band and was given an interview waiver recently. Letter from Canadian Consulate has clearly mentioned that interview has been waived off on the basis of IELTS score.

Is there anybody in this forum who got interview waiver (Recently)without IELTS, by submitting other requirements mentioned in the CHC site like written statement about Englih usage etc. (with appropriate documents)

Apart from English, there are other factors like education, age, work experience etc. -that would be taken into consideration. It depends on what is your final point score eventually during the assessment. So Waivers are decided taking the whole case into picture and not IELTS score alone. Good luck!!

Like said in the previous post, you cannot assume interview waiver with high score in IELTS. I had an 8.5 in it and had 77 points in the new system. I was still called for the interview. But the interview was just a formality and all they did was compare my original documents against the copies I had sent previously. Nothing to be adraid of! Good luck.
