Hi,

i am newly landed resident in Canada, and my prob is I don't have local references. Currently staying Brampton but ready to relocate for job.

I have experience of more than 4 yrs in UK into followings:

1. Checking and implementing satellite signal link budget parameters and accordingly setting up the signal parameters on earth station equipments that are meant for providing broadband, SkyIP services, TV signals (DVB, SCPC, IPSAT). Well aware about satellite link calculations. Also have worked on SNG( Satellite News Gathering) equipments, trucks, MCRs.

2. Hand over experience for streaming Video on internet, or between two fixed fibre points, which also includes configuring Cisco switches and routers to basic level. Use of software like Visual Studio 11 for audio stripping.

3. Work experience as RF Test Engineer, which comprises indoor and outdoor RF Tests and also tests related to performance of repeater for repeater parameter. I also have worked as Technical writer and given Technical Presentations in relation to sales for International Customers. This also includes use of OMC software.

Does any of you working in similar industry and can help me out in getting job, or agencies working in these fields?

I am not from your profession, but if I would be in your situation I would web sites of all TV stations and Sat./Cable providers.

Just checked at CTV they have 2 open positions for Broadcast Technician CEP 723M (CTV). and I am sure you will find some other open positions on other TV/Sat/Cable operator websites too.

Where it comes to technical job in most of the cases any job experiance gained outside South East Asia is considered.
