In my case, when I picked up the original docs, they returned the receipt with a stamp that said, "passport delivered". So, I do have the receipt.

Application submission - June 5 2009
Acknowledgement - June 23
Photo scanned - July 10

OCI granted - Aug 14, 2009
Documents printed - Aug 17, 2009
Documents dispatched to mission (Toronto) - Aug 18, 2009
Documents available at Toronto - NOT YET

peacock....can you give me the link where you are checing the online status of OCI ...i have applied on August 1st 2009 when do you think ill get abck my originals...they had said 15 days and today is the 15th day but they still havnet got it, and i need to fly out to india on 30th ....i need time to apply for visa as well....

Go to http://in.vfsglobal.ca/oci.aspx select "how to apply...." tab and at the bottom paragraph are the details and link to check the status.

Does any other CD member has any updates on OCI timeline, I submitted my passports for OCI stamping on the 10th of AUG, has not heard for my original CDN passports back from them? any idea on how much time do they take to just return the PP stamped? as all the work has beeen done in INdia , OCI card printing & stuff, why does this guys take so long to only stamp the PP?

Did you call VFS? Consulate states 5 to 7 days (business days).

I've been calling them from the 7th day onwards every single day, they reply in -ve , PP are @ the consulate still not received by them.
