Bodhi,
Thanks for comments. OK , I will explain to you further. Once you have submitted your Canadian Passport for OCI stamping. They will not give any new reciept. You will have to check status on BLS website with original tracking number. It will take aproximately 7 business /working days. After that , you will see BLS status as " Ready for Pick UP". Again , i am repeating BLS will never call you. Once you see status as ready for pick up, go to BLS between 3-5 PM . Go to counter no. 1 or 2 . Show your receipt, they will give your OCI & Canadian Passport.

Thanks Agrasaand, for your generous and kind help. What goes around, comes around!

I am unable to track the passport that I submitted to BLS. The CGI (Embassy) had given me an aknowledgment of OCI Card Application where I had a reference number and file number....each time I enter any one of these numbers in the BLS website under "Track your application" , it gives me an error message saying, No records found Unable to track your application status:

How can one check whether the passport is ready for pickup on BLS website.....which reference number do we enter? ......

You mentioned "orginial tracking number".......are you refering to the receipt with their own generated number that they usually give after paying $7.40 to BLS? or the one the indian embassy generates with reference number and file number/.....I'm totally confused.

They not give me any receipt after I paid $did7.40

Thanks, hopefully they call because I cannot see my status if it is ready or not :(

Yes . You have to use BLS Tracking number not CGI Number. Anyways, it is not a big deal, just go to BLS after 7 working days, you will get your OCI with U sticker on your Canadian Passport.

Wow, finally received my OCI sticker and book...about 2 months from start to finish. It is abit frustrating procedure for sure.

Thanks agrasaand, I did go exactly after 7 days and it was finally ready. Your experience with BLS was exactly as I experienced in my application...thank you and thanks Dimple for your initial feedback as well....God bless, take care and continue the good work.

So, for now those inquiring, one should follow, agrasaand tips mentioned above (for BLS-Canada).....until the process changes (for the better, I hope).

It would be nice to hear if someone else had a different experience time to time.

Bodhi , You are welcome. I will keep posting any new experience in CGI/BLS. It is bit frustating & time consuming to get anything done . However, it gets done after taking its own time.

Hi,
Is it possible for anyone of you to tell how long did it take you to get your surrender certificate before applying for OCI. I had applied for mine at BLS Brampton and it has been over 3 weeks now with status still showing " under process". As usual no one is picking up the phone at BLS. Any reply will be gratly appreciated.
