Per VFS website, you will need to submit your spouse's landing paper. No other documents of your family's is required.

Yes, you can mail them. Please review the fee, mailing method, etc before sending them out.

I submitted mine on June 5th and waiting for the OCI still. So, approximately 3 to 4 months, I guess.

Hello you veterans of the OCI process, I have 2 questions:
1. Do I need to submit 2 sets of photocopies of all required originals?
2. Do I have to self-attest all copies?

I am planning to submit my app at the Brampton VFS office.

Thanks in advance.

My OCI documents arrived at Toronto on Sep 1 2009. Got to submit passports to get them stamped and also pick up the OCI card.

Congrat's:up:

So it took you almost 3 months.......

hope the vancouver consulate will not take more than 3 months for OCI process.

Thank you.

I don't have it in my possession yet. That's another 20 day process (per peacock1's experience) after I submit my passport.

Make it 4 months. Not bad timing to get "Indian Permanent Residency" compared to 8 or more years to get US permanent residency :D

I had to find a silver lining some place.:)

Is OCI card looks like wallet size card/canadian citizenship card type?....

just googled...and got these 2 results
so it's looks like Indian passport with different colour......

but in that case..why they need to paste...multiple visa on Canadian passport every 5 years...

is OCI card is not good enough to enter in India:D

Yes, it is a passport sized document with a biometric page. Nice looking guy :D

The consulate claims that the OCI registration is linked to your passport number, hence needs to be updated for all under 21 and over 50.
