I absolutely love that place.

How many days are you staying there?

1.Boat Tour
2.Hiking
3.Beaches
If you are looking for nature, gorgeous water n swim time there are plenty of small beaches around - Saubal is getting too far commercial

Thanks, for Boat tour : is it from only one place ? or few places like 1000 islands....where to get it ?
we just plan one day...no stay....

We have made a trip to Tobermory. I just want to warn you about the travel time. There's really only one road...here's the map for example from Mississauga to Tobermory:
http://tinyurl.com/nyjdkt

It takes 4H 20Minutes says google. I don't believe we took that long. But be prepared for the worst case.

If you do that, you can see how a day trip can get pretty stressful. You can still do it. We did. But we got back home at 1AM. Better you stay for a night maybe at Owen Sound...you can see a lot of places around Owen sound and go to Tobermory the next day and back. Owen Sound has a lot of affordable motels...

We went to tobemory last Summer ..just loved the natural beauty .We did about 2 1/2 km trails to visit grotto.Blue water ...just loved it.We stayed in Sauble beach ..started Tobermory in the morning and returned back late evening. There is a "Fish and Chips" right on the centre of Tobermory visitor place ..fresh fish and best so far I experienced in Canada.:)

Am planning for a 3-4 days trip around beaches in Ontario next week.
Already visited Wasaga,Sauble Beach,Grandbend.May I request you guys to suggest me some good beaches within 5-6 hours distance from Kitchener/Waterloo area.I am trying to avoid visiting south of the broder but if something good within 6-7 hrs driving distance won't mind visting US beaches.

Thanks:cheers:

You can try Turkey Point Beach. It is small but beautiful. Parking is right at the beach. From your place it will be around 2 hour drive.

Dear Peacock and Aashu,

Do post feedback on the trip. We are also interetsed in visiting. How much was the hotel approx? Also was one day enough. Also, what were the must see activities. Was it comfortable for elderly family members.

Did it take 4 hours to get there? We are in toronto not mississauga. Any other useful tips will be great.

Thanks in advance!

Michelle
