Does participating in the voluntary disclosure scheme of the CRA help in clearing past wrong information provided? how much time is usually involved in this process? is it hasslefree?

I think each immigrant doesn't need to declare about 100k worth of home in abroad. I remember reading this in one of the CRA document.
