HI all

I am here in canada for 18 months in work permit. My family is here with me for about 12 months in visitor visa. We live in halifax. Now we have decided to apply for PR. I am wondering how to apply for police clearance certificate. I went & checked indian consulate website and there exists a form. But it seems we should be submit our passport there ? does this means we need to travel to Toront? is there any VFS office in halifax? Please help

Thanks

Requirements

1. Appropriate application form duly filled in
2. Current Indian passport with valid immigration papers or Canadian passport in original and photocopy thereof
3. Fee: C$ 20 for Indian passport holders and C$ 32 for other nationals

Time taken: Issue of Police Clearance Certificate requires references to authorities in India and elsewhere and therefore a minimum processing time of 4 weeks is required to issue this Certificate.

For details visit VFS website http://in.vfsglobal.ca or Helpline at 4169001160 (between 8.00am - 7.00pm Monday - Saturday except closed Holidays)

VFS Global, Toronto : http://in.vfsglobal.ca/map6.aspx
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Down load or obtain and fill a Police Clearance Application.

2) In your case, you will have to send to VFS Global in Toronto YOUR Indian Passport (Valid) and the landing papers and/or work permit. It will be nice if you could support the same with a letter from your current employer.

3) $20 for processing. 'VFS' has their own fee and mailing charges too. There is a Number on their website to contact. Please call and get all of the details from them.

Time taken is 4 weeks after they receive it. Add a few more days for local delays and shipping, also other delays due to the ensuing holidays that you will be encountering at the time of application. In short good six weeks.+

Freddie.

If you go to Toronto then you can show your passport and work permit which will be returned to you then and there.

I received my PCC in 2 weeks

Hi all,

I submitted my Police clearance application 5 weeks ago to Consulate General India, Toronto. I haven't had any response from them. The contact number in the application is useless.. its recurring VRS. Does anyone have a contact number to reach them?

Any help would be greatly appreciate!!! Thank you!!!! :)
