I need some advice from the fellow desi's who commute via TTC. I want to travel on December 28th to eaton centre via TTC. Just heard about the TTC day pass being extended from Dec 21 to Jan 1st for unlimited travel for a group pf 6.
My question is since the day pass for unlimited group travel is only on weekends or stat holidays , can it be used even on dec 28th monday for a group. if someone who uses the bus regularly can ask the driver and let me know will be grateful.

TTC DAY PASS AND WEEKLY PASS.....
The TTC Day Pass is for ONE DAY Only. Starts around 06:00 a.m. and goes till 05:30 or so of the next day.
The TTC WEEKLY Pass is good for ONE WEEK. But the week STARTS on Monday of each week and ENDS on Sunday for a seven day period. You can still use it till Monday Morning 05:30 a.m., which will complete the week. (No picking up transfers etc., please see their rules...). They start selling this on Thursday for the next week. It is valid after you peel the sticker and USE it for the first time. Please don't use it before Monday Morning 06:00 hours. of any week, because it records the week from then on.

So, if you have a day pass you can have TWO adults and FOUR children under the age of 19 for a total of six OR ONE Adult and FIVE children to make a six pack.
Remember Day pass for a family of SIX is good for only ONE DAY.

I just want to use the day pass on MOnday dec 28th only for a family of 4 people. But in the ttc website it says the day pass for a group is only for stat or holidays and during weekdays its for a single person use only.
but they have a holiday promotion going on as per website which says you can use the day pass for a group between dec 21 and jan 1. According to me i think even on weekdays between dec21-jan1, a group can travel on day pass for any 1 one irrespective of it being a weekday or weekend.

But this year they are saying that they have extended the DAY PASS from the 21st Dec to 1st of Jan 2010. and all through the holiday period. Just walk to any ticket booth at a subway station where they issue tokens and have a chat. They know better than you and me.

From December 21 to January 1 the TTC has extended the use of the TTC Day Pass for family/group travel. For just $9 a day, a group of up to 6 people, maximum 2 adults, get unlimited one-day travel.
Whether you are traveling alone, as a pair, or as a family or group, the TTC Day Pass gives you unlimited one-day travel on all regular TTC services. (Extra fare is required for Downtown Express routes and contracted routes operated by the TTC outside the City of Toronto.) **
