Tamilkuravan,
I agree with you on the fact that the Indian could have obeyed the driver's instruction and remained in the Bus. However, there was no need for the Driver to "RUSH" back to Bus running all the way and make fool of himself. There were only 4 passengers in the Bus. Probably, he was too eager to "teach" a lesson.
Someone is here to support a driver? Strange, no matter what, customer comes first.
Also is it official for a driver to stop the bus and go for a coffee? I don't think so. Is there any reference?

There must be some TTC "By-Law" to support this!
I guess the passenger was too naive to leave his laptop on the bus and also he should have informed the driver if he getting out of bus and intended to come back to the bus.
Once I saw a man waiting for Mississauga Transit bus and he was reading a book and it was snowing that day and a bit windy too. He was standing on the bus stop (no shelter) but facing the opposite direction the bus would come because it was bit windy. So he did not realize when bus was approaching to stop, this man never turned back to signal the driver to stop, and the driver left the stop without ever stopping. Later when the man realized that the bus had left, he was shouting and waving hands for the driver to stop but the driver never stopped. The next bus would have come only in about 30 minutes or so and he would be waiting while it was snowing or get taxi. I think the man waiting for the bus would have learned a lesson from this incident.

Come on, where's the compassion on the driver's part? In my opinion, in this case, the customer comes first. As it is the Canadian public transport system sucks compared to other countries and buses do not come every ten mins (as they do in the UK), so to have just driven by this poor guy waiting in terrible weather conditions was just mean.

Here is an excellent opportunity to be create/written into history textbooks.
Remember Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi was thrown off from the train in South Africa and it pushed him into the anti-racism struggle, which lead to satyagraha and then freedoom from British to India. He went from a M.K.Gandhi to a Mahatma Gandhi.
If you had visited many nationalized banks in India, you would find a statement by Mahatma Gandhi on why a customer is important to the business.
May be some one has an opportunity to become a Mahatma XYZ by protesting this incident.
Any takers from CD ?.

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
