I have applied many times for my parents and in laws....I used to show large amount in bank and all proper paper work but was getting refused..
Ever since I started showing moderate amount around 7 to 8 k in bank (few times I have shown 3-4K), job letter, invitation letter, last 3 pay stub..that's it....always got visa, even for young unmarried relatives got visitor visa...
I think, it's all about showing strong ties in India. Nothing to do what are you in Canada and where you live.
i know someone working hardly for $10 per hour at timhortons, nothing much as savings, was rejected 3 times as he was on refugee status, but got approved once he become a Landed immigrant. For sure he doesnt have much bank savings. Sometimes its luck.
I am inviting my friend and her family over. (She, her husband, 2 teenage kids and her parents)I have know the family for 25 years and we are in good relationships I would like them to come over for about 45 days for holidays. She is a doctor in good standing and has lots of family and business to go back to. They will be staying at my house.
My questions are:
How much money do I need to show in my bank account?
Her agent has advised to notarize my documents. Why are they asking her to do it when it is not needed ?
The agent has advised her to go in for a multiple entry visa. Is this wise?
What about medical insurance? I have advised her to take it.
I am including the following documents:
1. Copy of passport pages
2. Property Taxes as proof of my accommodation
3. My Bank Statements for 6 months
4. My Most Recent Pay Stub
Are the above documents along with an invitation letter enough for notarization?
As for myself, I have a good job for over 15 years in a reputed company, yet I do not want to disclose more than is needed. Do I need to show a bank statements, will not my pay stubs for the past months do.
I am concerned as I am inviting 6 people. I just don't want to mess it up.
These things are not required and dont help ur application one bit.

1. Try to notarize your invitation letter. It cost me $ 50.00 + tax but there are cheaper options available.
7. As a previous poster mentioned, put single entry choice in the application.
